1. I did get lucky. Will be heading to Sichuan from 13 Dec-27 Dec for OCIP. I hope it snows during christmas =)

2. I made potato salad to celebrate extension of essay deadlines. It was yummy and they’re all gone now haha.

3. Went to Shangri-La’s The Line for lunch buffet. The presentation of food were very nice, but the taste didn’t wow me. I was particularly impressed by their salad bar though. It was the only thing i had second servings of. And probably how pretty their desserts looked (but didn’t match up in area of taste) Photos will be up after i get them from cuzzie.

4. Does stress proportionately equals to shopping for clothes? I’ve a feeling it does =S *Glances at my wardrobe*

And they say third time’s a charm…

So…will it be third time lucky this time round?

I’m going to get down to making some yummy potato salad as soon as my status on msn switches to ‘available’.

Lo and behold

I think i’ve kindda lost the ‘drive’ to blog as often as i used to (although that’s not very often as well).

Umm and i kindda discover that facebook destroys relationships over the past week from not 1, 2 but 3 friends. Behold the power of facebook. I shall not go into details cos they’re personal stuff and i’m really lazy to lols.

Anyway, finally got to buy the famous tanjong pajar muffins on fri. Bought some for the colleagues and some to bring home ! Thumbs up for the soft fluffy moist texture of the banana walnut muffins. Gotta love them.

Caught up on my sleep, had facial done with mum, contact lens exchanged (Thanks to dad who drove all the way down to tpy!), bought some new clothes and spent quality time with family over the weekend. All’s good…and then here comes monday.

Ok I’m going to make myself a big hearty bowl of oatmeal for breakfast tml Hope it drives away the monday blues. I’m actually feeling stressed about this task i have to complete cos i have no freaking idea how to. damm.

Lotsa meetup and dinner stuff coming up this week !

Going back to black

Felt like i haven’t blogged forever. What was my last entry about ? I think i’ve pretty much enjoyed the one week of break and did almost everything that i wanted to…baked. shopped. had good food. drank. pubbed. clubbed. slacked. BOF-ed. RC-ed. Except K, which will be next week ! Oh and i wanna have another sushi making session !

Tomorrow will be the official start of my internship. Can’t help but feel the pre-work jitters, simply cos i haven’t been ‘working’ for so long. Hope everything goes well.

Anyway, just an update ! Maybe i can blog away my jitters haha. (at the same time i’m wondering how on earth i’m gonna fall asleep at 1am and wake up ard 6am) I’m such a 4am/2pm person. darn.

Yup, i finally, FINALLY got down to baking.

Mini strawberry cheesecakes ! They don’t look that pretty but taste fab ! and ahem ‘experimental’ Mini mocha tarts

Baking is always immensely fun and satisfying. Did it with yee this time round and we headed to timbre in the evening.

Conclusion of the night: Never go to timbre at the substation cos it’s just TOO hot and stuffy. (we had wanted to go to the one at the arts house but it was closed for private event). The pizza is spectacular though, you’ll know when you see the pic. We had roasted duck + buffalo chicken combi.

And of cos, the night wouldn’t be complete without…

Sangria (which i recommend to all my girlfriends without fail)

Too bad we cld only stay for the first set but the surrounding ain’t making us comfortable, so that’s that. But the legendary pizza is indeed worth trying heh.

Met the girls for sakae teppanyaki the next day and the only pic i got was this. haha.

That was the starter salad. I think after that we were all too busy eating and chatting away. It was not bad, but like i forgot who said it, the chef is really, really generous with the oil. He sprinkles it like it’s water.

Headed to iluma after and chilled at coffee bean and did a lil shopping at bugis village after. Everybody’s finally done with exams

And friday night…was supposedly a stay-home-and-slack-a-lot day but ended up at double O. last min clubbing. with a dramatic episode.

We had originally planned to sit by the river but the weather is simply unbearable and we NEEDED some aircon. Heh these are reasons, not excuses.

Anyway the night was really fun and we broke our records with 4 tequila shots and 1 jagerbomb each (what with double O and the dirt cheap drinks all night). Feels great to let loose after cramming for the exams (even when i was running a fever).

The drama came when some guys were pushing their luck too far. There was a point when i got really pissed and did something quite unimaginable on hindsight. and very, very unlike me. That of which involved me pushing two guys and asking them to fuck off. They must have been shocked but then backed off soon after. like wow, i amazed myself. Must have been one of my most aggressive moment ever. Some guys just don’t know their limits.

Anyway come saturday and i had my first taste of the really really really x 100 delicious 田鸡粥 at geylang Thanks to lei who brought me there, was a great recommendation. I also found the best yogurt ice cream along the way ! It’s called yoguru, be sure to try it if you have a chance. Ahh i seem to be pigging out everywhere lols.

Today marks the last day of ‘freedom’ and i haven’t even decided what to wear/bring to work tomorrow. But i did buy myself a pretty pair of wedges for the first day of work I must have more confidence in myself.

Am looking forward to getting more decent shoes though, cos i just cleared out my ’shoedrob’ today. Didn’t quite realise i fancy white shoes so much (I have like 6 pairs which is white based) !

And i have finally decided on what to do with my hair. I’m not going to rebond nor dye it anymore. At least not in the near future. I’m gonna grow my healthy hair out, cont trimming my damaged parts and embrace my waves ! Hahaha…that means i might be going back to black. Back to square one.

Any further investment on my hair will either be treatments or perhaps a few years down the road, a perm ? Gonna make a change to my style.

Ok gotta go bathe so my hair will dry in time for me to turn in early ! Ta~

Waaaarfferrrrrrs

Was wandering around west coast plaza with huimin last thursday becos we were both feeling sian. First time there since it’s open, looks a lot better than the old Ginza but a lot of stores were not open yet. We chanced upon waffles cottage and i would say it’s the nicest place in WCP…Lols.

The waffles are good but waffles with tuna is not the…most ideal combi haha.

Love the colourful post-its filled walls, love the comfty red comfa, love my top ! Lols. Good place for a get-away-from-school break

Anyway was just wondering today about…what i am good at. Not that good at writing, not that good at design, not that good at speaking, then what the hell am i good at?

Sigh, i think this is what you call a jack of all trades but master of none. How to find a job like that.

Feels like i’ve abandoned my blog for the longest time. Anyway, here’s a big heartfelt thanks to everybody for their birthday wishes =)

If only i can be 20 again. When really, i’m 22 this year. So which was your most memorable birthday celebration?

I can’t believe i was late for the second time for the EL proj meeting at cityhall on a saturday morning. So hard to wake up early when you’ve been up all night editing, heh. But 7 hours of shopping after that felt damm good We are such hardcore shoppers lols.

Oh and we had plenty of yummy food too. Pepper lunch (express). Ritz Strawberry strudel. Ah Chew’s 龟苓膏 + Mango sago. BV’s 算盘子. Cute looking ‘potato chips’ on a stick. Tori-q chicken balls. Ya kun’s teh-o/teh. It was literally like 食之路口. Makes a mental note to stop going out with lei too often haha. But boy was it a satisfying shopping + eating spree.

Tried pepper lunch (express) for the first time, it was not bad, very hot and peppery (as suggested by its name) but i’m not sure if my hair smelt quite the same for the rest of the day LOLS.

Anyway been editing all night yesterday too, but i’m finally done with Superhero. Wonder what’s gonna happen to our group project though. Not looking too good. Done with 3 projects/presentation for now. Left with NM3208 and EL1101E. It’s week 13 starting tml, where has all the time gone to ??!

Ok it’s time to clear the mess of wires and papers on my desk before i start coming up with my revision plan.

Random Blends

Just a short update ! Since i haven’t been posting up much pictures lately. Went down for our storybook exhibition at Old School yesterday evening =)

The set up’s quite interesting cos they dangled all the children storybooks in the air along with uniforms and toys. Although chris (who was involved in the setup) told me later that the intital plan to hang uniforms alone is kindda creepy at night so they added in the toys hahaha

And of cos our nm2208 baby, Corey and HER mane !

The long loooooooooooooooong flight of stairs leading to old school, which fortunately we do not have to climb cos we CABBED. (i dunnoe which is worse)

J’s treat. He claims it’s the BEST YUMMIEST brownie in sg. I think he doesn’t know i’m a self-proclaimed food critic.

BUT, in all honesty, it’s not bad =) the brownie has a really chewy and dense texture (i hate hate HATE dry and crumbly brownies) and is not overly sweet. Plus point for serving it warm, becos in my opinion, brownies shld ALWAYS be served sweet and warm.

Love the toasted marshmallows on top, though i feel that the chocolatey flavour could have been richer and more intense. Maybe combining Mrs Field’s and P.Osh would make for my favourite brownie.

Oh and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some hershey’s chocolate sauce…

Becos i have gotten so much stuff lately, i had to keep them organised. So…nothing like baskets from daiso to solve the problem =)

Ok really gotta do my video assignment now !

What is white milky creamy cinnamony with raisins ?

I made rice pudding today ! It’s chilling in the fridge now. Taste ok but there’s a flaw though, cos there is a slight burnt taste. Hope it taste better tml heh. Edit: and it did taste better =)

Time for some concrete mugging/work plan for the mid-term break. The way things look now, i guess i wld be going out for projects everyday. Yes you saw that correctly.

One involves talking to gay men, the other requires us to go down to Harry’s Bar and yet another requires us to do a transcript and analysis of singlish. And yes my video-editing mod, i’m trying hard to not worry abt wad’s gonna come. AND i am doing a marketing paper on Watsons’. The place we all go to have cheap promos and stuff. Actually my projects sound kindda interesting huh ? Hopefully i won’t have too much trouble with them.

Will be heading down to City plaza with the girls on sun, hope we can haul some cheap bargains back. And i seriously need to cut down the amount of time i spend browsing shops and forums online.

But I think i will take a break tonight with my HK drama =) Haven’t done a bit of work since i got home. But hey it’s the start of the term break ! Surely that’s a good enough reason ?
