The weather is so good today

First event at READ! Singapore It was held at Conrad Centennial so it was pretty grand. And they gave us the cutest door gift ever ! hahaha…

It’s been a pretty interesting experience learning what corp comms people do during events and the stuff they watch out for. and my colleague is just super funny lar. Food wise, ehh let’s just say most of them LOOK good.

I think it’s been a good week at work on the overall. There’s D & D coming up and the theme is 1959…RETRO lols. So we’re gonna dress up for it, sounds fun !

Meet the interns

You don’t know how much i deliberate over putting together a formal outfit for work EVERY morning. I pity my poor feet too. But i can’t stop thinking i need new shoes, clothes and a bag.

The days of getting our fingers black from flipping stacks of newspaper, getting amazed at weird things happening ard the world, numerous toilet breaks together, and getting sweet hot milo after the ‘morning rush’.

We’re officially into Week 2 now. I hope more exciting things happen. haha.

So, i finally have my own proper cubicle.

So, i finally get to enjoy free flow of milo/cuppaccino/teh tarik/tea/mocha

So, for once i need to dress properly for work

And so i get to read different papers every morning (i don’t even do that at home)

And take long lunch breaks hanging ard central

But why do i miss the 5 interns crowding ard a single table blasting music early in the morning, what-do-we-have-for-lunch intern days back in year 1 ?

And they say

Dreaming of summer

Have secured my internship for summer =D will be at MICA doing corp comms. Heh working at clark quay…very convenient to go chill after work LOLS.

What do you do when

work starts to lose its meaning and become a monotonous cycle which keeps replaying.

It’s 5 days to march. I calculated the amount of money spent over the last 2 months and am horrified. I think i’ve got enough things to keep me happy for now. So you won’t hear me complaining about not having enough new clothes to wear anymore. And i have officially banned myself from buying any more masks.

Saw this mediacorp internship opportunity in my email today, am wondering if i should send my resume in. should i or should i not ?

To the 3, or maybe 2 of you

The fact is, we have drifted apart.

I am learning not to let somethings bother me so much anymore. Why make yourself upset when you can choose to feel happy about other things/people in your life ? I have a choice and i choose to be happy

Anyway the Job Internship Hunt is on ! Attended the resume writing workshop yesterday and it turned out better than i expected. Time to re-work that dusty resume and market myself ha.

Workwise, the worst is over, at least for this week. 3208 website, check. 4880D presentation, check. 4880D think piece, check. 4880D project proposal, check. Upcoming…endless readings and project meetings. And i need to take photos of sch life for 3208 assignment 2. Haven’t thought about how i should go about doing it though.

But for now, I’m looking forward to my well-deserved break for the weekend

P.S. I am preparing lil vdae gifts for the girls and i know you all will LOVE me for it HAHAHA.

Nobody said it was going to be easy

As a “follow up” to nm2208 (which we stayed at the deck from the record-breaking 12pm-2am for), nm3208 just made us stay from 10am-11pm at the cnm consultation room. BUT WE FINISHED IT. feel so accomplished can. From knowing nuts about css to building a website together.

We had no lunch and dinner. Only biscuits, cookies and chips to last us through the 13hrs. So it was just the 4 of us, 4 laptops and some music. Just so happen that we’re nearing the end and F’s laptop started to play “Nobody said it was going to be easy…” hahaha how apt. Especially thinking back to how many hours we had spent on the website this week, almost 3 whole days i think.

There were both funny and stressful moments. And i’m starting to like our project group B drove so i got a ride back whee ! And liyanna was so sweet as to msg us to check if we got home aldry. Aahhh one down at least, a few more for the other mods to go.

We can definitely make it through killer nm3208 together for the rest of the sem jiayou jiayou jiayou !

Fumbling in the dark to find the switch

I think only one person saw my post last night. Was up briefly and taken down when i started to feel better. Talked to a friend last night and it kindda helped. Logic always help. Glad for the late night company.

Today’s my free day but spent almost the entire day in sch trying to figure out css and our website. I still don’t like dreamweaver, and i think i never will. The mass of codes can get quite intimidating. AND we’re still not done, not even halfway done. So, will be spending the whole of sat in sch again. yay.

Have pushed off one movie and one dinner gathering to date. So not me i know, but i guess that means work is really getting to me.

Nowadays after reaching home from sch(late) i just tend to procastinate until it’s really late before i start to do my stuff proper. And then before i’m halfway through them i wanna head to bed aldry. Tsk tsk…ok am off to bathe now.

Post-exam plans

Thank u guys for the encouragement from the last entry. at least (at last), i’m done with my 2 design mods this sem. It had been fun, exhausting no less. I don’t know how i’ll do in the end, but it’s not up to me to change anything anymore.

Things i’ve briefly thought about, that i wanna do after the exams are over. 1: BAKE ! 2: Find a job and earn some $$. 3: Movie marathon on surfthechannel. Haven’t thought of more. oh and get a new phone. and chill over drinks. haven’t had one in ages.

And and and have a christmas party or get-together or whatever just for fun lols. Meihui’s throwing one but one’s never enough ! And i want to have a nice buffet. (Where’re my buffet buddies ???)

I think i deserve a mask tonight. haha. and i so want to start on my tea tree facial wash to clear the blemishes on my face aldry but my seaweed one just wldn’t finish. bleah =P
