Random Blends

Just a short update ! Since i haven’t been posting up much pictures lately. Went down for our storybook exhibition at Old School yesterday evening =)

The set up’s quite interesting cos they dangled all the children storybooks in the air along with uniforms and toys. Although chris (who was involved in the setup) told me later that the intital plan to hang uniforms alone is kindda creepy at night so they added in the toys hahaha

And of cos our nm2208 baby, Corey and HER mane !

The long loooooooooooooooong flight of stairs leading to old school, which fortunately we do not have to climb cos we CABBED. (i dunnoe which is worse)

J’s treat. He claims it’s the BEST YUMMIEST brownie in sg. I think he doesn’t know i’m a self-proclaimed food critic.

BUT, in all honesty, it’s not bad =) the brownie has a really chewy and dense texture (i hate hate HATE dry and crumbly brownies) and is not overly sweet. Plus point for serving it warm, becos in my opinion, brownies shld ALWAYS be served sweet and warm.

Love the toasted marshmallows on top, though i feel that the chocolatey flavour could have been richer and more intense. Maybe combining Mrs Field’s and P.Osh would make for my favourite brownie.

Oh and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some hershey’s chocolate sauce…

Becos i have gotten so much stuff lately, i had to keep them organised. So…nothing like baskets from daiso to solve the problem =)

Ok really gotta do my video assignment now !

What do you do when

work starts to lose its meaning and become a monotonous cycle which keeps replaying.

It’s 5 days to march. I calculated the amount of money spent over the last 2 months and am horrified. I think i’ve got enough things to keep me happy for now. So you won’t hear me complaining about not having enough new clothes to wear anymore. And i have officially banned myself from buying any more masks.

Saw this mediacorp internship opportunity in my email today, am wondering if i should send my resume in. should i or should i not ?

What is white milky creamy cinnamony with raisins ?

I made rice pudding today ! It’s chilling in the fridge now. Taste ok but there’s a flaw though, cos there is a slight burnt taste. Hope it taste better tml heh. Edit: and it did taste better =)

Time for some concrete mugging/work plan for the mid-term break. The way things look now, i guess i wld be going out for projects everyday. Yes you saw that correctly.

One involves talking to gay men, the other requires us to go down to Harry’s Bar and yet another requires us to do a transcript and analysis of singlish. And yes my video-editing mod, i’m trying hard to not worry abt wad’s gonna come. AND i am doing a marketing paper on Watsons’. The place we all go to have cheap promos and stuff. Actually my projects sound kindda interesting huh ? Hopefully i won’t have too much trouble with them.

Will be heading down to City plaza with the girls on sun, hope we can haul some cheap bargains back. And i seriously need to cut down the amount of time i spend browsing shops and forums online.

But I think i will take a break tonight with my HK drama =) Haven’t done a bit of work since i got home. But hey it’s the start of the term break ! Surely that’s a good enough reason ?

A whiff of memory

Wearing Paris Hilton’s Just me makes me think of clubbing. It’s the first perfume i owned and so happens to be the one i wore on my first night clubbing. And of cos, subsequent nights then.

Crabtree and Evelyn’s Rosewater reminds me of HK. Everytime i wear it, it brings some part of HK back to me =) Maybe cos it was the perfume i wore most often there.

DKNY’s Red Apple does not hold much meaning to me though…maybe of sch, work and just everyday life. Quite versatile since it feel goods to wear on both hot and cool days. But yeah, there’s a lack of personal feel haha.

And currently i have not finished any one yet lols…wearing them according to mood i guess. It’s kindda funny that you can wear diff perfumes according to diff moods/outfits huh?

Also the thing about having memories attached to the various scents. Kindda amazing isn’t it.

My new found love

We met in Dbl O. Spent the first hour of the night together and had to part when it was time. He was really sweet and smells good too.

I think we might have more dates in the future…

His name is Hennessy. V.S.O.P., if i may add.

LOLS. hope i got you there. So we clubbed Vdae away in Dbl O. I think i overdosed on my BB cream and foundation so i looked like a ghost haha. And umm clubbing counts as a workout, no ? It was tiring alright. But i had a good night’s sleep. No more weird dreams/nightmares !

Anyway, first time clubbing at Dbl O and it was cute cos they played some really old school songs from like backstreet boys…and was that spice girls ? It’s like the songs we sing along to during primary school !

But according to what i heard from my proj mate, seems like they might be closing down soon. I think people will miss the cheap drinks there. Ok just a short update, hope you guys enjoyed Vdae ! I’m back to churning out some last min work for mon gahhhh.

Cest La vie

Was reorganising my msn list today because i stupidly did away with the different categories the other day (just to realise that i can’t tell people apart from the massive list.)

Can get quite frustrating when you have to scan through the whole list just to find someone so i put them into categories again. 9 this time round, and deleted quite some whom i either forgot/have no idea who they are or are accquantainces.

What surprises me is how MANY people we get to meet in our life and the FEW who remains in contact. I think i only chat actively with 10% of my msn list haha.

Life is such, isn’t it ?

People meet, do things together, and then vanish over time. Seems to me like a natural cycle that will keep on repeating itself, over and over again.

Well done

I have successfully slacked the whole weekend away and splurged ard $200. Had plenty of good food on sat, good fun and good stuff on sun. Finally caught Changeling online on fri, still wanna watch seven pounds !

And ALL THESE, while my assignment lies undone. =P

But then again, 休息是为了走更长远的路，不是吗？=)

To the 3, or maybe 2 of you

The fact is, we have drifted apart.

I am learning not to let somethings bother me so much anymore. Why make yourself upset when you can choose to feel happy about other things/people in your life ? I have a choice and i choose to be happy

Anyway the Job Internship Hunt is on ! Attended the resume writing workshop yesterday and it turned out better than i expected. Time to re-work that dusty resume and market myself ha.

Workwise, the worst is over, at least for this week. 3208 website, check. 4880D presentation, check. 4880D think piece, check. 4880D project proposal, check. Upcoming…endless readings and project meetings. And i need to take photos of sch life for 3208 assignment 2. Haven’t thought about how i should go about doing it though.

But for now, I’m looking forward to my well-deserved break for the weekend

P.S. I am preparing lil vdae gifts for the girls and i know you all will LOVE me for it HAHAHA.

Times like these i wish i can shut the whole world out and blast the music loud so i hear nobody and nothing else.

Times like these i wish i can listen to my head more than i do my heart.
